Questions

Questions we hear

Can I go to any office?

Yes. All four offices keep the same records, follow the same policies and use the same forms.

How long does an exam take?

A full exam takes about an hour. Visits for a specific eye problem may be shorter.

Do you work with my vision plan?

We work with many vision plans and with medical insurance. Call any office, and we check yours before the visit.

Why might my visit be billed to two plans?

A routine exam goes to a vision plan, and the part about an eye problem goes to medical insurance. We say which is which before you pay.

Can I fill my prescription somewhere else?

Yes. Your prescription is yours. We give you a copy after your exam and fitting.

Do you fit contact lenses?

Yes, at all four offices. A fitting is a separate step from a routine exam, and the doctor explains it at the visit.

What should I bring?

Your glasses and contact lenses, a list of your medicines, and your vision and medical insurance cards if you have them.

Do you see children?

Yes. Children have a full exam with a parent beside them, and the doctor explains each step in plain words.

Can my employer's plan be used at any office?

Yes. Call us with the plan name, and we check the benefits before the visit.

What if I have an eye emergency?

Sudden vision loss, a curtain over your vision, a sudden shower of floaters, an eye injury or a chemical splash: call an office or go to the nearest emergency room now. In an emergency, call 911.

Still have a question?

Call the office nearest you, or send us a message, and we will answer.
