Your first visit, from call to prescription

We keep the first visit simple. You tell us a little about yourself, we examine your eyes, and we explain what we found. Plan on about an hour.

  • Before

Choose an office, book a time and send us the name of your vision plan so we can check your benefits.

  • During

An optical assistant takes your measurements, then the doctor examines your eyes and talks with you.

  • After

You get a copy of your prescription, a plain explanation of any change and a date to come back.

What to bring

  • Your glasses and contact lenses

Wear or bring the ones you use now, and the case.

  • Your cards

Your vision plan card and your medical insurance card, if you have them.

  • A list of your medicines

Include eye drops and anything you take by mouth.
